February 24th, 2009Thats seems to be to nice to be true: Two guys recorded sounds in the arcade they hang up (”Just Fun”, Ithaca, NY) from 1982 until 1988. One of them stored the audiotapes and rediscovered them 1997. Now they are available at coinopvideogames. Hear them to bring back good memories how it was playing games back in the days.

New Sega Game-Ride: Storm-G
February 18th, 2009Sega will install eight units of a new bobsliding game, called ”Storm-G“ in their amusment park Joypolis in Tokyo. Sega closes Arcades (and more)

Sometimes the world isnt hedgehogfriendly.
Sega’s Japanes main branch announced, that it will close 110 of its 450 arcades, lay off 18 percent of it stuffs and cancel some games. The reason for these steps are an annual loss of 25 billion yen (about $238 million) during the fiscal year.
